Special Blog Post:
The Eyes Have It

Yes, the right eyelid droops, the result of an odd family trait having to do with a strange palsy that sweeps in briefly during adolescence and then disappears, leaving the disconcerting stare as its sole mark.
Be glad that this is all you see in close-up. The nose that was mercifully cropped from this picture is just as disconcerting in its crookedness just below the crop line.
Now, it's time for the tags.
First comes Guy Andrew Hall,
a favor given, why, 'tis a favor earned!
Then we have the Old White Lady,
Praise from her, me head hath so been turned.
An' last of all, a Lackey o' Words,
Rhetor perhaps, but memer first he learned.
Green graw th' rashes, o!
th' rashes they graw green,
Shakespeare's Sister ha'e the bonnie eyes,
But the Wraith's look oh-so mean!
Green graw th' rashes, o!
th' rashes they graw green,
Water pools o' bloggy waer,
Than e'er a man hath seen!
The Dark Wraith parties onward into the night.

I hate ta do this to ya, Dark Wraith, but you gots a screwy link there. You have Lackey o' Words linked to my site.
Rook now exits blog left... err, stage left.
Good morning, Dark Wraith. This is a fun meme already! Thank you muchly for the encouragement to start it, and for being game to participate.
I love the poem. Your eyes, however, don't look mean.
The meaning behind "Big Brother is Watching You" just became abundantly clear.
Good morning, Dark Wraith. This is fun. My eyes are up now...

The blog version of Kilroy was here.
What I'm wondering is where is all the gray hair that we should be seeing for an old Wraith? Or don't they show physical signs of weathering?
OT, but I get a dead link when I try the Archive of Articles.
Also OT, but I'll be out of town next week & incommunicado.
("Kilroy" -- :-))

Actually, Mr. Goat, there's plenty of gray in that hair. It's pretty difficult to hide, especially in the Summer, when the whole mane, which goes halfway down my back, is a river of gray, brown, and auburn streaks.
It does, however, make for a nice, intimidating look walking into my classrooms the first day of every semester, what with the all-black attire, the drooping eye, and the nose that points noticeably to one side.
Yep, a whole lot of students head over to fill out drop slips that first day.
Sadly, however, some don't.
The Dark Wraith must, as a consequence, head off to class, now.
LOL.
I can, however, up your droopy eye and crooked nose by one set of unreasonably bushy eyebrows that demand I dedicate what would be at least three good blogging hours a week to plucking, the strange genetic anomoly of one attached and one detached earlobe, and a double chin.
Nice try, Wraith, but you've got nothing on this tragedy of a countenance. :-P
The picture of just your eyes makes you look a lot younger than your full picture with the beard. They say the eyes are the gateway to the soul so I guess maybe you are young at heart.
Done and done!

Good morning Dark Wraith,
From a technical perspective, can your blogScream code be used to cycle through other types of files (such as jpeg), or is it just limited to text headings of articles?
Just imagine the implications for the next photo meme tag event....noses or some other appendages of bloggers popping up under the blogScream heading.
Good afternoon, Mr. Goat.
I built blogScream to be able to handle images that are as big as 170x150, provided there's no text or other images (like the logos) along with them. For each line of text or logo included, the second number in the graphic dimensions limit goes down by about 35 to 40 pixels. In other words, I could run miniaturized versions of photos under each blog title or logo, and the images could be as big as about 170x110 or so.
Even though it would require a special, customized setup for the feed, the possibilities are scary.
I'm almost afraid to think about something like a nose meme or, far worse, an ass meme.
The Dark Wraith thought being a news wire publisher would be a dignified sort of thing.
I agree, I don't think your blog is the ideal choice for the plumber butt photo meme. On the other hand though, Dark Wraith's Wise Cracks has a certain ring to it.
Animal.
Fitting eyes images for your site's title. Nice!
